Our Story
On The Edge Creations, LLC is a family owned and operated business located in Ashburn, VA. Recently we merged with Real Life Products, LLC which is also a family owned and operated business in Delaware. Both companies take pride in family and the fact that we ALWAYS and ONLY manufacture our products here in the USA.
After moving to Ashburn, VA in 2002, our family entertained a lot with our new neighbors – with 10 adults and 20 kids running around, we simply ran out of space and needed additional service tables on the deck. Could the tables be simply moved “on top of” the railing, out of the way, and extended over the railing into thin air? The-DeckMATE deck and patio railing accessory was born!
After a lot of time engineering the product (with many designs failing the test), The-DeckMATE was completed as shown – and passed all our testing including on all of the neighbor’s decks – it fit them all! We subsequently obtained our “Patent Pending” status and brought it to market last year with the help and assistance of family, friends, our local community and our Virginia and Louisiana manufacturing partners.
We hope our story can be an inspiration to the American spirit on inventiveness, and to other folks who find unique solutions to common problems. If you do any amount of outdoor entertaining, live in a single family home, townhouse, apartment, or high rise condo with a balcony – you need The-DeckMATE! Remember, it fits inside the rail just as well as it fits outside of the rail.
